This year, I had the honor of traveling all the way to Vancouver to present my ALLocate research at NeurIPS 2024, one of the world’s most influential AI conferences.
Walking into the convention center, being surrounded by thousands of researchers who are some of the biggest movers and shakers in the AI space, really felt both humbling and electrifying. During my poster session, I had the chance to speak with computer vision scientists, clinicians, entrepreneurs, and graduate students who offered thoughtful feedback on my approach to real-time leukemia localization and classification in bone marrow smears.
Being named a Top 4 project in the NeurIPS High School Track was an incredible honor, but what I valued most was being in an environment where people from around the world were united by one thing – their belief that the power of AI could solve real problems.
